Preppy text tutorial 3

Before you start this tutorial, you need to save this pattern! open it in photoshop, go to edit at the very top of photoshop,scroll down & click define pattern, click ok when the box pops up! now its in your patterns! also please check out THIS tutorial before you proceed with this one! you will need to know the basics first! Now that you've got your text typed out, you want to have a color scheme in your swatches ready for use (go look at my "choosing color schemes" tutorial for how that process works,click here for the color scheme we will be using for this tutorial! SAVE IT, and open it in photoshop & follow the choosing color schemes tutorial, as well as the "coloring text" tutorial! Now that you have the basics, and you've colored your text, go to your "layers" panel to the far right (if you dont see it anywhere, go to window at the top of photoshop & click layers, now that you've located that, double click your text layer, when the layer style box pops up,go to "bevel & emboss" and match your settings to mine...

Now go to Inner shadow & match your settings to mine..

Now go to Inner glow and match your settings to mine..

Now go to "pattern overlay" find the pattern you saved in your patterns,select it, and then match your settings to mine..

YOUR TEXT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS SO FAR..

Duplicate the layer twice (right click on the layer >> duplicate layer..repeat one more time). Now that you have 3 layers, On the 2nd layer, use the move tool to move it to the right 1-2 times and down twice. Hide ALL the effects that are already on it (like inner shadow) All you have to do is double click that layer, when your layer style box pops up, UNcheck bevel & emboss, inner shadow, inner glow & pattern overlay.. Go to color overlay & match your settings to mine...

Now right click that same layer & then click "rasterize type" Now Add glitter by clicking "Filter (at the top of photoshop) >> Noise >> Add Noise" >> match your settings to mine.

On the third layer, move it to the right 2-4 times and down 2-4 times. Double click it, when the layer style box pops up, click color overlay again (same settings as before). This time don't add glitter! you should have something like this...

Right click the FIRST text layer and click "Rasterize Type." Click on the magic wand tool, Select the first letter in your text, Right click on the actual letter & choose "Layer Via Cut", you should get a new layer, Now right click on it & click duplicate layer, on that new layer at the top, double click on it, when the layer style box pops up, match the settings to mine..

Now click "stroke" & match your settings to mine..

Now click Ok, choose your move tool from your tool bar, move it to the left (or right) a couple of time, whatever looks best to you! Now you're going to repeat that process for each letter! by going back to full text layer, using your magic wand tool & selecting a letter, right clicking & choosing "layer via cut >> and so on..Now you are done! right click the top layer & select "merge visible" to make it all one layer! This is what my finished product looks like..
