Preppy text tutorial 2
Before you start this tutorial, you need to save this pattern! open it in photoshop, go to edit at the very top of photoshop,scroll down & click define pattern, click ok when the box pops up! now its in your patterns! also please check out THIS tutorial before you proceed with this one! you will need to know the basics first! Now that you've got your text typed out, you want to have a color scheme in your swatches ready for use (go look at my "choosing color schemes" tutorial for how that process works,click here for the color scheme we will be using for this tutorial! SAVE IT, and open it in photoshop & follow the choosing color schemes tutorial, as well as the "coloring text" tutorial! Now that you have the basics, and you've colored your text, go to your "layers" panel to the far right (if you dont see it anywhere, go to window at the top of photoshop & click layers, now that you've located that, double click your text layer, when the layer style box pops up,go to "bevel & emboss" and match your settings to mine...
Now click Inner shadow & match your settings to mine..

Now click "Inner glow" & match your settings to mine.

Now click "pattern overlay" and match your settings to mine (this is where you will use your pattern that we saved in the beginning..

Your text should look like this so far..

Now go over to your layers panel, it should be in the far right but if not, go to window at the top of photoshop, & scroll and click layers. anyway, once you have located your layers, right click on your layer & click "Duplicate layer". On the bottom layer, uncheck all the layer styles I already have on it (like the bevel & emboss, inner shadow, inner glow, pattern overlay) and now add a color overlay. Match your settings to mine..

go to your tools, & Select your moving tool (pictured below)

Now by clicking the arrows on your keyboard, Move it to the right 2 times and down 2 times. you should now have this..

right click on the BOTTOM layer (the one with the color overlay), & click "duplicate layer". You should have 3 layers now, On the middle layer,right click on that text layer & click "rasterize type"! Now add glitter by clicking "Filter(at the top of photoshop) >> Noise >> Add Noise" >> >> match your settings to mine.

you should now have this...

On the bottom layer, move it to the right 2 times and down 2 times. now you should have this..

Now Duplicate the top layer(right click >> duplicate layer. This time do NOT uncheck all the layer styles. Drag the duplicated layer down to the bottom so it's the very bottom layer. double click on it, when the "layer style" box pops up, go to "color overlay" Add a color over layer with the color #333333. Keep the blend mode normal. Click ok, now select your move tool in your tool bar again,now Move your text to the right 8 times and down 8 times, it should now look like this...

You should have 4 text layers now. Create 4 new blank layers (using that little addition sign in the bottom of your layers panel), drag each blank layer underneath a text layer.
Now you'll have 4 of the text layers + 4 brand new blank layers, so 8 layers total.
Merge 1 new blank layer with each text layer, by right clicking each text layer & clicking "rasterize type" & then right click each text layer again & click "merge down
You should have 4 layers again.
Merge all 4 layers together by right clicking the top layer & clicking "merge visible". You should have 1 layer now.
Now double click that layer, when your "layer style" box pops up, click stroke, Match your settings to mine..

YOU'RE DONE!! You should have this....
